Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread

Todays recipe is perfect combination of Apples and Oatmeal.   The aroma waffling through the house while it is baking is unbelievable.

This definitely speaks FALL to me!

Perfect along with a cup of tea, not too sweet nor overpowering with cinnamon.
Try toasting a piece and topping it with vanilla ice cream.

YUM !!!!!

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread

Preheat oven to 350, lightly grease and flour a 9x5" loaf pan.

1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar

1 cup chunky applesauce
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 packetes instant Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal - single serving size
2 eggs
1 teaspoon backing soda
1 1/2 cups flour

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.   Mix in applesauce, cinnamon and one packet oatmeal

Stir in the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition.

Mix in the baking soda and flour.
Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle with remaining packet of oatmeal.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes
or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.

This comes out with a crunchy crust and chewy interior.

ENJOY !!
