Pineapple Cream Cake

Here is another "Go to" recipe that I have had for many years.  I received this cake as a housewarming gift from my soon to be Avon lady.   She was "promoting" herself the only way you could "back then" without the internet at our fingertips.

The simpler times.....eh?

Pineapple Cream Cake

For the cake you will need:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 eggs 
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla 
1 can - 20 ounce undrained crushed pineapple
1 cup crushed walnuts

Mis all the ingredients by hand into a large mixing bowl.   Pour into a greased 9X13 pan.   Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. 

 Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting while still warm
8 oz. cream cheese
1 stick margarine
1 1/3 cups confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Beat with mixer an ice cake
