Spring Flowers

This is a new feature to our blog all about Gardening.

While quite a few of us are still covered with snow, there are ways we can bring in the Spring indoors.

If you have a forsythia bush, head outdoors and cut a few stems from the bush to force the blossoms to open.  You can place them in a vase inside to brighten up your day OR look at this sweet idea using old rubber rain boots.  You can also do this with Magnolia branches.

Can you imagine how welcoming this would look outside your door?

I love the idea of using old rubber boots as planters!

While I was planning this post, I looked outside at my flower beds.....and

LOOK

what I found !!!!!

LOOK close......right at the edge of the snow and under my azalea....

MY DAFFODILS ARE COMING UP !!!!

And this is at the base of my River Birch tree, you can see the greens from my Mini Hyacinths or what I call Blue Bells.

I also found my Hyacinth bulbs are starting to grow.   YUP  Spring is near !

  1. Love this post! I'm so excited to see we will have a gardening section on our blog! Love the forsythias...my grandma had a big bush and I always think of her when I see them. Still too much snow here to see the daffodils sprouting up but I've been checking :)
