Last year I had azalea bark scale on my plants, it was a battle but I finally got rid of them. I used a spray and a systemic granular insecticide.
Over this winter, they were hit hard by the extreme cold and the deer feasting on them. I was discussing this with my landscaper, who by the way it not afraid to share information with me. I said, I was going to give my azaleas a week or two to show some growth, if I did not see any, my plan was to cut off the bare branches. He looked at me and shook his head.
There is a product out there called SUPERTHRIVE. It is vitamins and hormones for plants. It has been around for 40+ years. Mike started to tell me what he has experienced with using it and the numerous customers he has recommended it to and their results. He said, if there is life left in a plant, this will revive it!!
This liquid is extremely concentrated and smelly...but hey, if it works its worth it.
I mixed 1/2 teaspoon into 2 gallons of water and gave each of my plants a feeding with it.
I am beginning to see growth where there was nothing but bare branches!!
Let me know if you tried it and your experiences.
Superthrive is available at Lowes, Home Depot, your local nurseries and Amazon.
Awesome!!
