Todays recipe is a wonderful make ahead breakfast casserole,
This would be ideal for Easter Sunday.
Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole
2 1/2 cups half and half
2 cups grated sharp Cheddar
8 oz diced ham
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6 slices bread, no crusts, cubed
In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Spray a 9 X 13 Pyrex baking dish with Pam and pour mixture into prepared pan.
Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before you are ready to bake.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes. Knife inserted in center
should come out clean.
Cool slightly before slicing.
Other optional ingredients:
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1/4 cup finely diced onion
diced red or green peppers.
You can top it off with freshly chopped parsley or chives before serving.
